Its SaaS. Deal with it
Its amazing to me the number of people who offer 1- and 2-star ratings because they cant or wont seperate the pricing model from a review of the app. If you give the app a low rating, then people who could benefit from the app and are willing to pay for it see a 2.5 star rating and may look elsewhere.
Virtually all CRM is offered under a SaaS price/licensing model now. Thats the direction the industry has gone. For SMBs, it kinda beats the old SalesLogix model, with a 4- to 5-digit price of admission. Like it or dont, but thats the industry now. A CRM is designed to help you make far more than the app costs. If it does that for you, then its a good app.
If you have dozens of hours to spend getting SugarCRM or vTiger to work for you on your own Linux PC, have at it. If thats your idea of affordable, then you have different priorities than many of us. If you have more important things to do, then keep an open mind when evaluating an app.
Dont expect everything to be given away for (practically) free. This is business.
